As many of you have likely seen in the news, Don was taken into federal custody last night in Los Angeles while covering the Grammys.

His arrest is linked to a January 18th protest in Minnesota involving anti-ICE injustices. Despite two judges previously rejecting the charges, federal authorities moved forward. Don has maintained he was there strictly as a journalist, stating, “That’s not gonna stop me... You’re not gonna diminish my voice.”
Don is a journalistic icon and a hero who reminds us that journalists are the essential upholders of democracy. He is the living embodiment of our affirmation: “Every time I use my voice, I win.”
In this fight for justice, I encourage all Star Players to lead from a place of peace and calm—the space where sensible solutions are born. Let us stand in solidarity with those who use their platforms for liberation.
