This week, our community—and the world—feels a little heavier. We were blindsided by the news of the passing of a true giant, Rev. Jesse Jackson. As we round out Black History Month, it is a profound honor to uphold the legacy of a man who didn't just witness history; he shaped it.
To commemorate his impact, I shared excerpts of his iconic "Keep Hope Alive" speech with my Public Speaking students at TSU this past Tuesday. Together, we observed how he painted vivid pictures with simple, powerful language to ignite flames in the hearts of millions. Later, walking the halls at KTSU, I stood with coworkers as we recalled his sheer dominance, magnetism, and unyielding power.
Jesse Jackson’s campaign tagline, "Keep hope alive," is the heartbeat of the work I do every day at Celestial Content Creations. Whether I’m designing affirmation cards or standing at a microphone, my mission is to instill hope where there is none and re-ignite it where it has been lost. He was a bright beacon, illuminating the path for change agents everywhere.
