✨🎺 Celestial Content Creations Inspires Future Greats at Monterrey Jazz @ TSU 🎺✨

This week, Celestial Content Creations founder Ariel took center stage at the prestigious Monterrey Jazz @ TSU celebration, igniting a spark in Houston-area high schoolers passionate about jazz and pursuing careers in music.

Drawing on her experience at Google/YouTube, Ariel empowered students to leverage the digital tools readily available to showcase their talents. The event featured a dynamic panel discussion with music luminaries Darin Atwater and Andre Hayward, where they collectively offered guidance and encouragement to these aspiring musicians.

A pivotal moment arrived when Ariel asked the audience, "How many of you feel confident creating music but not confident sharing it publicly?" A sea of hands shot up, revealing a common apprehension. Ariel then addressed a young man who bravely elaborated on his fear of being judged by his peers. She commended his transparency, even acknowledging his bandmates by name. As a token of encouragement on his path to self-belief, Ariel gifted him a deck of CCC's Tiny Book of Affirmations cards.

This event was part of a larger initiative by Texas Southern University in partnership with the world-renowned Monterey Jazz Festival. The FREE Music Symposium, held on April 4th and 5th, 2024, featured Artist-in-Residence Darin Atwater, Artistic Director of the Monterrey Jazz Festival. The symposium welcomed all Greater Houston-area high schools, middle schools, and the community to participate in this enriching musical experience.

As most of you know, I am a proud Louisiana native and my childhood is decorated with memories of cowhide belts, alligator boots, fishing excursions, and John Wayne films. Once I made the shift to East Coast living, I put a lot of the classic cowboy culture relics aside and embraced life as a city slicker. Oh—-but BEYONCE.

Thanks to Beyonce’s latest release, Cowboy Carter, the dormant Cowgirl that lives within me has been awakened. For this, I am deeply grateful.

Our latest blog post is dedicated to the uplifting liberation that her song, Blackbiird has given me as I continue to celebrate my roots. This piece centers on our affirmation card, “There are no mistakes in art, my life story is art.”

Despite all the doors that were slammed in the queen’s face as she forayed into a new genre, Cowboy Carter is breaking records left and right. Thanks to Queen Bey, now the rodeo never has to end!
